Indo-French tennis pair of Purav Raja and Fabrice Martin were ousted from the first round of men's doubles at the 439,405-euro Nice Open here on Monday.
The German-Swede pairing of Martin Emmrich and Andreas Siljestrom defeated Martin and Raja 7-6(4), 6-7(7), 10-6 in two hours and 10 minutes on the outdoor clay courts of the Nice Lawn Tennis Club.
After sharing the first two sets, Emmrich and Siljestrom proved a tad bit better in the super tie-break which helped them clinch the contest and enter the quarter-finals.
