The Rajasthan government on Monday sent a 41-member team of doctors and paramedical staff to help the earthquake victims in Nepal.

"The team left Jaipur on Monday morning and will reach Gorakhpur by late evening. They will camp there and work in coordination with the union government," a senior health department official told media persons on Monday.

"Three of the doctors and 5 members of paramedical staff had already left for Gorakhpur on Sunday."

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Health Minister Rajendra Singh Rathore requested retired doctors from the state to come forward and help the quake-affected people.

Earlier on Sunday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje had flagged off a truck containing relief material for the earthquake victims in Nepal.

"The truck contained biscuits, packaged food and drinking water bottles," said a state government official.

More trucks are to leave soon from Alwar, Bikaner and other cities. They will carry blankets, food items and other relief material, he added.
