Delhi Metro Rail Corporation closed the Rajiv Chowk station on the eve of New Year at 9 p.m., an official said.
"As advised by police, entry and exit of passengers was closed at Rajiv Chowk station after 9 p.m. However, interchange facility will continue to remain available at the station," a Metro official told IANS.
The official said other nearby stations like Barakhamba Road, Janpath and Patel Chowk may also be closed at short notice for passengers, if the need arises.
"As of now, these three stations are open for public till further police advice," the official said.
