Actor Jimmy Sharma, who is busy gearing up for his upcoming film "Raktdhar", says its not just a film but an effort to change the society.

Jimmy, who is playing the main lead in the film, was asked about his views on the film and he said: "We work on a lot of projects in our life but there are very few that you are passionate about and you feel proud being associated with it."

"I am proud to be part of a film like 'Raktdhar' that talks about how society needs to change. It is not just a film, but an effort to change the society. It was a great experience working on the film and I hope people will appreciate it too.

"The film is about the transgender community that we usually avoid. When I heard this film's story and his (director's) agenda to bring forth all aspects of their life, I thought that it would be a great film for my career," said Jimmy in an interview on Thursday.

Speaking about his experience of working with director Ajit Verma, the actor says that when he met the director, he found him very passionate and clear about his vision.

Jimmy Sharma debuted in Hindi cinema with "Chance pe Dance" directed by Ken Ghosh starring Shahid Kapoor and Genelia D'Souza.
