'Rang De Basanti' fame singer lends voice for 'Pirates 1.0'

Award-winning playback singer Naresh Iyer has recorded a song for director Raj Madiraju's upcoming thriller film "Pirates 1.0."

Arun Chilveru is composing music for the film. It has three situational songs sung by Naresh Iyer, Dev Negi and Rituraj.

"I like Raj Madiraju's (director) commitment. He has chosen a substantial subject. Kittu Vissapragada's lyrics are inspiring. Arun's music is exciting," Iyer said in statement.

This situational song comes in an important episode of the film, where the main cast is seen celebrating their very first victory over their struggles.

Talking about the story and music, Madiraju said: "This film tells that technology and social media have their flip side. There are three songs each on hunger, want and fury. Naresh Iyer has sung the song encompassing the human trait of 'want'... We shot the song without doing the re-recording."

"We have enlisted top singers to sing the songs. Both music and lyrics will be a big plus for this film," added the film's co-producer Vijaya Rama Raju.

The film features Indraneil Sengupta, Zara Shah, Abhishek, Kartavya, Mrunal, Neeraj and Mrudanjali in lead roles.
