Ranjith to direct superstar Rajinikanth's next film

Director Ranjith has been roped in to direct Rajinikanth in his yet-untitled next Tamil project, according to industry sources.

"Ranjith's project with Rajinikanth is finalized. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The rest of the cast will be finalized soon," a source told IANS.

Two-film-old Ranjith's last outing was the critically-acclaimed Tamil thriller "Madras".

Apparently, Rajini was supposed to team up with filmmaker Shankar for "Enthiran 2". But the source added that the project is pushed to next year.
