Goa Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar on Monday said that rapists should be hanged till death, as was the case in Dubai.
His statement came in the wake of the rape of a 20-year-old woman near the Dabolim International Airport by a taxi driver on June 28.
"There will be no forgiveness. My opinion is that those who rape should be hung. But in a democracy, it does not happen. What happens in Dubai doesn't happen here. This should happen -- only then will they be scared," Ajgaonkar told reporters.
"What has happened is very serious. There will be action. Our Chief Minister and Home Minster will not listen to anyone," Ajgaonkar said.
