Rashid, Jyoti share second place in Chiangmai Golf Classic

Indian golfers Jyoti Randhawa and Rashid Khan finished joint second after the third round of the Chiangmai Golf Classic here Saturday.

While Jyoti ended the day with a two-under 70 to take his total to 13-under 203, Rashid fired a sensational 6-under 66 at the Alpine Golf Resort.

Thailand's Thanyakon Khrongpha, who produced a superb five-under 67, leads the Indian duo by two strokes.

Australian rookie Kalem Richardson fired a brilliant 64 to tie for fourth place with countryman Scott Barr on 204 at the $750,000 Asian Tour event.

Reigning Order of Merit champion Kiradech Aphibarnrat of Thailand placed himself in the title mix following a bogey-free 66 while Major champion Jason Dufner of the United States slipped to tied 24th following a 73.

Home favourite Kiradech rolled in six birdies for his best round this week to continue his chase for a first victory in 2014.
