Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) joint secretary Ravi Jain has been appointed manager of the Indian cricket team slated to tour Zimbabwe later this month, the Indian cricket board said Monday.
The Indian team will play five ODIs between July 24 and Aug 3.
"It is a matter of great honour for DDCA that BCCI has appointed its Joint Secretary and Media Manager Mr. Ravi Jain as the manager for the Indian cricket team touring Zimbabwe for the ODI Series in July," DDCA General Secretary S.P. Bansal said in a statement.
Jain was elected as one of the joint secretaries of the DDCA last December.
Jain had earlier toured as a media manager with the Indian team for a limited over series to Sri Lanka last year when it played five One-day Internationals and a one-off Twenty20 International between July 21 and Aug 7.
The Zimbabwe tour will be his first assignment as team manager.
