Motorbike taxi app Baxi has come up with a unique feature of letting users choose their own driver.
With the new feature Baxi Buddy, the rider gets the option to mark his/her driver as a favourite after completing a ride. And so the next time around, when a ride is booked, that driver is notified first to facilitate a ride.
This feature was inspired by the women and elderly users of the app who liked the idea of having their own personal Baxi Buddy. And now they can choose one.
At the end of the ride, the customer will be asked to rate his or her driver, and additionally to add him as a favourite. If they add him, he will be given preference when the next ride is requested (provided he is nearby, and available). If no favourite is available, another buddy will be found for the customer.
"We want to make the first-and last-mile connectivity for customers as simple, safe and convenient as possible. And a key step in that is building trust and personalising the service.
"This is exactly what the favourite Baxi buddy feature does. A trusted, chosen driver is someone that everybody would prefer to ride with," Manu Rana, co-founder of Baxi, said in a statement.
Baxi, which is presently available in Faridabad and Gurgaon, is all set to launch its services in Noida and Ghaziabad.
