Rihanna to receive Icon award
Pop star Rihanna will be honoured with an Icon Award at the forthcoming American Music Awards (AMA) Nov 24.
The 25-year-old, who will also perform at the event, will be recognised for her profound influence over pop music across the world.
The news comes just days after the R&B singer scored her 25th top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, tying her with Elvis Presley, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
The Icon Award will be Rihanna's seventh AMA.
