Former Barcelona star Juan Roman Riquelme has helped Argentinos Juniors get promoted to Argentina's First Division.
Besides Argentinos Juniors, Colon de Santa Fe and San Martin de San Juan were also promoted to the top division, reports Xinhua.
Argentinos accomplished the feat after a 1-1 draw against Douglas Haig de Pergamino at the Diego Maradona stadium here Sunday.
With this result, Argentinos collected 31 points, the same as Colon, who defeated 3-0 Boca Unidos de Corrientes and San Martin, who won also 3-0 against Ferro.
Riquelme, gold-medal winner in Beijing 2008, did not confirm if the next season he will remain with Argentinos. Some reports say he will go back to Boca Juniors.
