At a time when several names who have worked behind the scenes in films are facing the camera too, producer Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment says he does not harbour any feeling to try his hand at acting.
"Will I ever act? No, I don't think so. Right now I don't feel like that (going before the camera)," Sidhwani told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
The producer, who is awaiting release of the film "Baar Baar Dekho", might not have any acting ambitions, but is not averse to the idea of acting.
"In some time if somebody offers me something where I have the confidence that I can act, then I will give it a shot," he added.
Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar with their banner Excel Entertainment and Karan Johar with Dharma Productions have come together for their very first collaboration with "Baar Baar Dekho".
Directed by debutant Nitya Mehra, "Baar Baar Dekho" is a romantic film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. The makers took a different route by releasing song "Kala chashma" before the trailer, and caused ripples in the music circuit with the peppy number.
"Kala chashma", the first song of "Baar Baar Dekho", was released on Flickbay, touted as Bollywood's official mobile app.
Sidhwani hails the booming virtual culture in India.
"I inevitably believe that we are heading towards the digital space. Before this, everyone used to watch promos on TV now nobody has the time to wait for it on TV, and consume it on tablets or mobile phones. I think whatever you do, the digital medium space is answering all your concerns on most things," he said.
The producer also praised Flickbay, saying that the app "is the one stop answer to all the film-related queries".
