Three people were shot at in two incidents of road rage in the national capital on Thursday, police said.
The first incident was reported from Sunlight Colony in south Delhi where a motorbike rider opened fire at an auto-rickshaw driver around 3.30 p.m. and fled the spot.
Auto-rickshaw driver Srawan Kumar was rushed to a hospital where his condition was said to be out of danger.
He told police that a heated argument took place between him and two people on a motorbike when his auto-rickshaw slightly touched their vehicle at the Ashram flyover.
Police said the pillion rider fired at him as soon as he took a turn after crossing the flyover. The bikers fled the spot after the incident.
"The auto-rickshaw driver luckily escaped as the bullet just bruised through his leg," a police official said.
In another incident that occurred just after midnight, two people in a car suffered bullet injuries when two motorbike-riding assailants fired at them after the car failed to let them overtake in Greater Kailash area in south Delhi around 12.30 a.m.
Manmohan, 27, Shivam, 26, and Pawan, 24 -- all residents of Kotla Mubarakpur in south Delhi -- were returning home after having dinner in a nearby market area when the assailants fired at them.
"Manmohan received a bullet injury in his thigh while another bullet pierced through Shivam's stomach. Pawan escaped unhurt," said a police official.
"They were rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where they are being treated," the official said.
Police said a case has been registered and hunt is on for the culprits.
