Bill Murray's Afghanistan-based rock and roll comedy "Rock the Kasbah" will make its way to theatres in India on October 23.
The release date was announced by PVR Pictures in a statement.
The Golden Globe and BAFTA award winner Murray will showcase his comic antics in the film, which stars him as a burned-out music manager who navigates through unfamiliar territory and discovers a girl with untapped potential and a golden voice.
Directed by Oscar winner Barry Levinson, the film features an impressive supporting cast, including Kate Hudson, Zooey Deschanel, Danny McBride, Scott Caan, Bruce Willis and Leem Lubany.
Lubany plays the young girl with an amazing voice that Murray's character hears while trying to get home. Somehow he manages to smuggle her to Kabul so she can compete in a reality TV singing competition "The Afghan Star".
