The Rockets had suffered their worst loss of this season Saturday night, losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder 94-124, reports Xinhua.
In Monday's game, James Harden lead all scorers with 28 points and five assists to lift the Rockets to the stimulating victory, snapping the team's two-game slide.
Carlos Delfino had a season-high 22 points along with eight assists while Jeremy Lin gave 16 points and eight helpers for the Rockets.
Louis Williams scored 21 points and Al Horford gave 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Hawks, who saw their four-game winning streak come to an end.
The Rockets shot the ball well to start the game but failed to slow the Hawks in any capacity in the first quarter.
Trailing by a point entering the second quarter, the Rockets exploded in the frame to take command, using a 16-0 run to build a big lead and hold on for the win.
