Russian tennis player Evgeniya Rodina on Friday pulled off a big upset, defeating the US' Madison Keys, the tenth seed, 7-5, 5-7, 6-4, to book a place in the round of 16 at Wimbledon for the first time in her career.
Rodina, world No 120, needed two hours and 10 minutes to win her first career match against Keys, the 11th ranked women's single player in the world, reported Efe.
Both players created 14 break points, but Rodina made the most of seven opportunities, one more than her rival.
Keys became the latest top-10 seed to be axed from the tournament, leaving only Simona Halep of Romania, Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic and the US' Venus Williams competing for the title.
Next up for Rodina will be either US' Serena Williams, the 25th seed, or France's Kristina Mladenovic.
In another Women's singles action on Friday, Russia's Ekaterina Makarova defeated Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Makarova is to take on Italy's Camila Giorgi, who defeated Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic 3-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2.
