Super luxury car maker Rolls Royce Motor Cars is yet to decide on entering the sports utility vehicle (SUV) segment, a senior official said.
"No decision has been taken on entering the luxury SUV segment," Seven J. Ritter, general manager, Asia Pacific told reporters here Thursday.
Earlier, the company's CEO had said a decision would be taken whether or not the company would enter the luxury SUV segment this year.
Ritter was here to launch the Ghost Series II car priced at around Rs.4.5 crore.
He said last year Rolls Royce Motor sold 4,063 cars worldwide while declining to share any India-specific numbers.
According to the company, India is one of the top five markets in Asia Pacific for the Ghost model.
