Russia's withdrawal of military forces from Syria will help keep parties on the table to find a solution to the Syrian issue through negotiations, China's Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
"China believes the decision will send a positive signal to the international community, especially the disputing parties in Syria, and will push them towards solving the issue through dialogue and negotiation," Xinhua quoted the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said.
The Russian defence ministry on Tuesday said Moscow had started the withdrawal of its forces from Syria after President Vladimir Putin announced the decision in this regard on Monday.
