Ryan Phillippe 'not opposed' to remarry

Actor Ryan Phillippe is "not opposed" to getting married again, following his split from actress Reese Witherspoon in 2008.

The 40-year-old, who divorced Witherspoon in 2008 after nine years of marriage, said on a radio show that he would consider marrying his girlfriend Paulina Slagter in the future, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Asked about their relationship, Phillippe, who has daughter Ava, 15, and son Deacon, 11, with Witherspoon, said: "It's (serious). I'm not opposed to (getting married again)."

Ryan insists he and Slagter, 24, have a lot in common and is very proud she is about to graduate from university.

"She's awesome. When people see her they have these judgements because she could be a model but she's about to graduate Stanford Law."

"Also what's great about it -- as you get older certain issues become more important to you. I'm very involved in civil rights issues, and so to be with a woman who could actually make an impact in the legal realm -- that's a beautiful thing," he added.

Phillippe and Slagter have been dating each other since the past four years.
