The sixth meeting of SAARC home ministers, to be held Sep 17-19 in Kathmandu in Nepal, is likely to discuss terrorism, maritime security and piracy, and cyber crime, an official statement said Tuesday.
"During the three-day meet, issues like suppression of terrorism, maritime security and piracy, narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, combating corruption, cyber crimes, mutual assistance in criminal matters, trafficking in women and children, and promotion of child welfare in South Asia are likely to be discussed," a home ministry statement said.
The statement said the meeting of immigration authorities will be held Sep 17; of secretaries of interior or home will be held Sep 18; and of the ministers of interior or home will be held Sep 19.
The fifth meeting of the SAARC secretaries of home or interior ministers was held at the Maldives in September 2012.
