Sachin Tendulkar, currently playing his final cricket Test series, is a "wonderful human being", Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi said Thursday.
"I know him very well. He is a friend of mine. He is a great cricketer. More importantly, he is a wonderful human being. I wish him best of luck," the Congress leader said.
Gandhi was speaking on the sidelines of a function for a women's self-help initiative in Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Tendulkar is playing his farewell series. His 199th Test match is currently going on in Kolkata and the 200th and final match is scheduled to be held in Mumbai Nov 14-18.
