Saina overtook German Juliane Schenk and Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying to rise up the ladder.
The runner-up of the Lucknow event P.V. Sindhu entered the top-10 for the second time in her career. The World Championship bronze medallist equalled her best ranking (No.10) by rising a place.
Men's singles runner-up at Lucknow Kidambi Srikanth made a remarkable leap of 10 places to be ranked No.20, overtaking Mumbai's Ajay Jayaram, who dropped a place to No.22.
Parupalli Kashyap is the best ranked Indian male shuttler at No.18.
