Italian Serie A football club Sampdoria is set to sign former Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o, the club's sporting director Carlo Osti has said.
Sampdoria has been in talks with Eto'o and his representatives in recent weeks and the deal "is almost finalised", Osti said Tuesday, reports Xinhua.
The 33-year-old joined English Premier Premier League outfit Everton from rivals Chelsea at the start of the current season.
Eto'o spent two seasons at Italian club Inter Milan from 2009, playing an important part of then coach Jose Mourinho's treble-winning team, which lifted the Serie A league, Italian Cup and Champions League trophies in 2010.
