Bollywood actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik, who was recently raved for his performance in Nagesh Kukunoor's "Lakshmi", has landed an important role in Bala Pazhanisaamy's upcoming Tamil film "Tharai Thappattai".
"Bala sir had approached Satish Kaushik for an important role in his film, which the latter grabbed it instantly. Satish will join the team from the next schedule," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
In the past, Satish had remade Bala's critically acclaimed Tamil film "Sethu" in Hindi as "Tere Naam" with Salman Khan. Since then, both have been great friends.
Starring Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, "Tharai Thappattai" is based on ancient dance form Karakattam.
