State Bank of Travancore (SBT) logged a 24 percent growth in operating profit in the first quarter of this fiscal over the like period in the last financial year.
In a statement, the bank Friday said the operating profit touched Rs.419 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal. It was Rs.340 crore in the same period in the last fiscal.
The total business of SBT went up to Rs.1,55,275 crore as at the end of the quarter, as deposits grew by 19.78 percent to reach Rs.88,736 and NRI deposits showed a growth of Rs.3,892 crore during April to June period to reach Rs.21,574 crore.
