The Security forces on Saturday busted a guerrilla hideout in Reasi district of Jammu region, recovering some arms and ammunition hidden there.
Defense spokesman Lt. Colonel Manish Mehta told IANS in winter capital Jammu: "Troops of Rashtriya Rifles, Territorial Army and the state police carried out searches in Kalaban Forests of Chasana Tehsil (Reasi) on the basis of intelligence inputs.
"A terrorist hideout was busted during the search operation and arms and ammunition were recovered.
"The seized cache of arms and ammunition included one AK-56 rifle, one AK-56 magazine, 60 rounds of ammunition of AK-56, 14 rounds of ammunition of PIKA gun and one Chinese hand grenade.
"The joint search operation along with police and troops of Territorial Army was launched yesterday (Friday).
"The search party cordoned off the area after reaching the site and recovered the cache after a gruelling march for over seven hours in rugged mountainous terrain," he said.
