Security forces on Monday launched search operations in areas close to India's international border with Pakistan in Kathua and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir after the BSF reported suspicious movements.
Following the searches, residents of villages situated close to the border have restricted their outdoor movement. No arrest had been made till the filing of the report.
A senior Border Security Force officer said troopers noticed suspicious movement of four to five persons on the Indian side of the border on Sunday evening.
"Searches were conducted in areas close to the international border in Samba and Kathua districts," the officer said.
