Sensex trades in red during pre-noon session

A benchmark index for Indian equities, the sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on Friday opened in the red and was trading at 27,842.87 points during the pre-noon trade session.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading in the negative zone. It was lower at 8,383.05 points with a fall of 14.95 points or 0.18 percent.

The 30-share Sensex opened at 27,880.72 points against the previous close at 27,895.97 points. At 11.00 a.m. it was ruling at 27,842.87 points with a fall of 53.10 points or 0.19 percent.
