Indian shuttlers Anand Pawar and Saili Rane reached the quarterfinals of their respective categories at the $50,000 Scottish Open Grand Prix here Friday.
Men's singles seventh seed Pawar defeated Dutch Erik Meijs 21-17, 21-17 in 43 minutes at the Emirates Arena. With the win the Mumbaikar extended his career record to 3-0 against Meijs.
Later, Saili had a tough first outing against English Fontaine Mica Chapman but eventually came out on top by winning 21-16, 17-21, 21-18 in 57 minutes.
Both will play their last eight matches later in the day.
