An artiste of Indian origin performing at Aashiyana Club of Singapore was jailed for three weeks on Thursday for falsely accusing her employer of rape, media reported.
Citti Babu Prasanya, 21, admitted to lodging a false complaint with police on August 11 last year. In her complaint, she said that Haji Mohamed Shaik Allauddin, 33, raped her a day before. During the act, she kept scolding him in Tamil repeatedly, the Straits Times reported.
The court heard that Prasanya was working for Allauddin's club, Aashiyana, since July 4 last year when she made rape allegation against him.
Haji Mohamed was arrested on the basis of statement given by the artiste. Later, the allegation was found to be false.
