Popular girls group Fifth Harmonys singer Lauren Jauregui was found with a bag of weed when her luggage was searched by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at the Washington Dulles International Airport.
Jauregui was reportedly arrested, but a lawyer for her girl group set the record straight. The 20-year-old singer was simply cited for possession of marijuana, the attorney clarified, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"Lauren Jauregui was not arrested and detained as reported, but simply given a citation for possession of marijuana and released on her own recognisance," the lawyer Dina LaPolt said.
"She will address the matter appropriately through the legal system. This will not interfere with any future scheduled performances or activities," LaPolt added.
