Six run over by train in Uttar Pradesh

Three children and three women were run over by a train early Wednesday when they were crossing the railway tracks in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh and apparently did not see the train coming, police said.

The accident took place near the Khanauta railway bridge.

Police officials told IANS that they were trying to identify the dead, who were all labourers.

A few more people were injured in the accident and are undergoing treatment at a local medical facility.
