"It was a bright, sunny day in most parts of the state. Higher reaches saw overnight snowfall that resulted in dip in the mercury," an official of the meteorological office told IANS.
He said Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul-Spiti district, was the coldest with a minimum temperature of minus 3.3 degrees Celsius. It saw three cm of snow. Udaipur and Gondola towns in the district also saw snowfall.
Kalpa in Kinnaur district was close to the freezing point at 0.4 degrees, while the temperature was zero degrees in Manali and 7.2 degrees in Dharamsala.
