Seven vessels will serve as floating hotels during the Winter Olympics 2014, the Russian sea port authority said.
"Russia has affreighted seven foreign passenger vessels which will offer 5,000 cabins to accommodate the Games visitors," head of the Rosmorport, Sergei Ilyashenko, told reporters Monday, reports Xinhua.
According to the official, the cabins offer the accommodations and service equal to 3, 4, 5-star hotels.
The price tag of that floating accommodation will start at 4,300 rubles ($135) per night in a 3-star double cabin. A 5-star double suite will cost 12,500 rubles ($390) per night, with an in-suite piano included in a bill.
In June, the Eurasian Economic Commission ruled that floating hotels to serve the Sochi Olympics could be delivered into Customs Union's territory tax-free until March 31, 2014.
The Sochi Winter Olympics are scheduled for Feb 2014.
