Spanish football club Real Sociedad will conclude team preparations on Sunday ahead of the 2015-2016 season, and will likely have to do so without the presence of its Mexican star Carlos Vela.
Vela has been suffering some discomfort in his knee, so Scottish coach David Moyes has been searching for alternates in the La Liga team's recent preparatory friendlies, Efe reported on Friday.
Vela's recovery is one of the Spanish club's main priorities, just days ahead of the away season opener against Deportivo La Caruna on August 22, while with each day the chances of the Mexican forward being ready in time diminish.
The Mexican international has not touched the ball in group training since August 5, but has been working with physical therapists to rehabilitate his knee.
