Solid partnership of friendship: KJo on uniting with Farhan, Ritesh

Filmmaker Karan Johar has joined forces with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment for the first time for "Baar Baar Dekho". And Karan says "it's a solid partnership of friendship".

Directed by debutant Nitya Mehra, "Baar Baar Dekho" is a romantic film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

Sidhwani, Farhan with their banner Excel Entertainment and Karan with Dharma Productions have come together for their very first collaboration.

"Excel and Dharma coming together is more than just a collaboration of aesthetic and creative forces... For me it's a solid partnership of friendship. I am thrilled to associate with Ritesh and Farhan as they are not only prolific fraternity members but also close friends of mine," Karan said in a statement.

To this, Sidhwani added: "It's a first for Excel as we haven't done co-productions earlier and this is even more special as its Dharma. Karan has been a close friend for over 15 years now and I value this relationship immensely."

The film narrates what happens in the life of a person from 18 years to 60. It is slated for release on September 9.
