Congress president Sonia Gandhi Tuesday visited the flood-affected areas in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district.
Concluding her two-day visit to flood ravaged Jammu and Kashmir, Sonia Gandhi and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi Tuesday visited Jammu region.
They interacted with flood-affected families in a relief camp set up inside the Gujjar hostel.
Both of them assured the victims that the party will take up the issue of relief and rehabilitation of affected families with the central government.
They were also scheduled to visit another relief camp in Akhnoor area in Jammu.
The Congress president arrived in the state Monday with Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader Ambika Soni, and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad.
