Curitiba (Brazil), June 17 (IANS/EFE) Spain midfielder Koke praised his teammates' reactions after the heavy 1-5 defeat they suffered against the Netherlands in their FIFA World Cup opener Friday.

Koke said that the players are more united than ever and are hungry for achieving a grand win to erase the memories of the defeat. He asked the Spanish fans to continue supporting the team, reports EFE.

The Spaniard promised that they will give their best to qualify for the second round like they did in 2010 and won the World Cup.

Spain will face Chile Wednesday in a do-or-die game at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
