The number of foreign tourists who visited Spain in the first five months of this year nearly reached the 28-million mark, a figure that was 11.6 per cent higher than in 2016, it was announced on Friday.
According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), Spain received 7.9 million international visitors just in May, an 11.7 per cent increase year-on-year, reports Efe news.
Most tourists came from the UK (6.4 million) and Germany (over 4 million).
