Speaker mourns train accident deaths

Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar Monday mourned the loss of many lives in a train accident in Bihar, said a statement here.

According to the statement, the speaker has urged that all necessary steps should be taken to provide immediate relief at the accident spot in Khagaria district.

Meira Kumar represents Sasaram Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar.

At least 35 Hindu pilgrims were killed Monday and over a dozen injured when they were run over by a speeding train at the Dhamara railway station on the Saharsa-Mansi route of the East Central Railway.
