Sri Lanka reach 298/7 at tea on third day

Even though skipper Angelo Mathews (102) got to his century, the post-lunch session belonged to India as they took four quick wickets to have Sri Lanka at 298/7 at tea on the third day of the second cricket Test here on Saturday.

Middle-order bat Jehan Mubarak and Rangana Herath remained unbeaten on 20 and 1 respectively while for India, fast bowler Ishant Sharma and leg-spinner Amit Mishra claimed two wickets each. Sri Lanka are 95 runs behind the visitors with three wickets in hand.
