The makers of superstar Mahesh Babu's Telugu entertainer "Srimanthudu" are planning to change the title of the film after a group of distributors felt it was not "massy" enough, a source said.
"When the distributors recently met to talk about the film's business, they felt the title doesn't appeal to the masses. They said the title of a star's film is very important as it creates maximum pre-release buzz and helps in drawing audiences to the cinemas," a source told IANS.
The distributors are said to be suggesting the new title as "Magaadu", which was earlier considered by the makers.
"Initially, the film was to be titled 'Magaadu', but it was changed for reasons unknown. Most distributors felt 'Magaadu', which means masculine, would be the apt title. The makers are yet to take a final call," he said.
On May 31, the makers are planning to release the first look teaser of the film to coincide with the birthday of veteran actor G. Krishna, father of Mahesh Babu.
