The strategic Jammu-Srinagar highway was reopened for one-way light vehicular traffic on Sunday afternoon.
"After clearing the landslide in the Ramban sector, the road has been restored for one-way traffic," a traffic department official said.
"Light motor vehicles have been allowed to move towards Srinagar from Jammu. No vehicle will be allowed to move in the opposite direction," the official added.
The 300-km highway is the lifeline for the land-locked Kashmir Valley.
All supplies of essential items are routed to the valley through this highway. Its closure causes shortages of essentials items in the valley.
