St. John's (Antigua), Sep 6 (IANS/CMC) Several members of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines national football team suffered minor injuries after the bus in which they were travelling met with an accident here.
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation said the accident took place on Bolans Highway at approximately 3.25 p.m (local time) Friday while the team was on their way to the stadium where they are contesting Group 5 of the CFU Caribbean Cup qualifiers, reports Xinhua.
"The incident left senior coach Cornelius Huggins, assistant coach Wesley Charles, goalkeeping coach Kevin Richardson, assistant technical director Alnif Williams and player Jahvin Sutherland with minor leg injuries, but they (were carried) to the hospital as a precautionary measure," the federation said.
"The rest of the team is fine."
