Former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato could be headed to German club Wolfsburg, according to media reports.
ESPN Brasil on Monday reported that Wolfsburg see the Brazil international footballer as an ideal replacement for Croatian forward Ivan Perisic, who is said to be close to joining Inter Milan, said Xinhua news agency.
The 25-year-old has been in prolific form for Brazil's Sao Paulo this year, scoring 18 goals from 35 matches.
But the Bundesliga outfit face competition for Pato's signature from Tottenham Hotspur, the portal added.
Pato was once considered one of the world's most promising strikers but has been beset in recent seasons due to poor form and injury.
