A suitcase containing two firearms and around 30 rounds of ammunition was found at Mexico City's international airport, Mexico's National Commission for Security has said.
With the help of an X-ray machine, members of the Federal Police detected an object that bore resemblance to a firearm inside the suitcase which had arrived from the US on Saturday, reports Xinhua.
In accordance with protocol, the suitcase was opened in the presence of the international airline supervisors and ministerial authorities.
It contained two firearms armed with 11 and 10 rounds of ammunition, 13 loose rounds and various personal items.
