Chinese technology major Lenovo on Wednesday announced the appointment of Sumir Bhatia as the company's new Vice President of Data Centre Group (DCG) for Asia Pacific.
The announcement came after the "Lenovo Tech World 2016" event in San Francisco on June 9 where the company announced to deepen its focus on the data centre technology market.
"Sumir is a valuable addition to our leadership team and we look forward to even more success with him at the helm," said Ken Wong, Senior Vice President and President, Lenovo Asia Pacific, in a statement.
Based in Singapore, Bhatia will report directly to Wong.
Bhatia will take over the Asia Pacific DCG leadership responsibilities from Amar Babu.
In his new role, Bhatia will drive the growth of Lenovo's data centre business across Asia Pacific and lead sales, product and go-to-market execution.
