It was a sunny day in the capital Friday even as the maximum temperature was recorded two notches below the season's average at 33.5 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast a partly cloudy Saturday.
"The skies will be partly cloudy and thunder may be recorded in some areas. The day will become mainly clear from afternoon onwards," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The maximum and minimum temperatures (Saturday) are likely to hover around 36 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Friday's minimum temperature was recorded at 17.9 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
Thursday's maximum temperature was recorded a notch below the season's average at 32.8 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled two notches below the season's average at 17.5 degrees Celsius.
