People in Srinagar woke up to a bright sunny Tuesday morning, even as the night temperature witnessed a further dip across the state, the Met Office said.
The weather office has forecast dry weather across the state till Friday.
The minimum temperature across the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday settled below freezing point due to clear night sky.
At tourist destinations of Gulmarg and Pahalgam, the minimum temperatures were recorded at minus 8.0 degrees and minus 5.5 degrees Celsius respectively.
The minimum temperatures in Jammu and Srinagar were 7.2 and minus 1.7 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperatures in Srinagar and Jammu city are likely to hover around 12 and 21 degrees Celsius respectively, a weatherman said.
